Take a special, behind-the-scenes tour of our family-run working farm, which supplies produce direct to the kitchen at our restaurant, St Davids Kitchen.
Starting this summer, it’s your opportunity to spend time on site with our Welsh Black Beef Cattle Herd, and experience the beautiful countryside that makes our produce award-winning.
You’ll meet Martyn, Neil’s father [Neil runs St Davids Kitchen!] who looks after the animals, and Ellen, who manages the farm site!
There’ll be fun and informative activities to do, perfect for the family when you’re on holiday here, to learn more about our relationship with the land, the local flora and fauna and our approach to food production.
Half-day tours begin from £25, and include food while on site, opportunities to interact with our livestock, help out with planting micro herbs and salads, and a guided nature walk around the farm and onto the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
All activities are weather-dependent, but a little bit of wind and rain is normal for Pembrokeshire even in the middle of summer, so tours will go ahead regardless. We don’t follow a set itinerary, instead tailoring what we do each day around interesting things that are happening. If we need to cancel a tour because of really bad weather, or unforeseen circumstances, you can book on to the next available one, or receive a refund.
Is it disabled accessible?
The farm is generally on the flat, although there are some areas which, depending on levels of ability, may not be accessible. Please give us a ring to discuss your needs so that we can advise. We are working to making the farm as accessible as possible.
What should I bring?
This is a working farm, so bring your wellies or suitable footwear, even if the weather is nice, areas of the farm are liable to be muddy.
Food Allergies / Intolerances?
Please let us know about these when you are booking a place. We’ll try our best, but we may not be able to cater for them if you tell us about them on the day.
Suitable for children/dogs?
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
We’re really sorry, but dogs aren’t allowed on the farm.
When do tours start?
Morning tours begin promptly at 9.30am. Afternoon tours begin promptly at 1.30pm.
